Refined soya oil were down by 0.24 per cent to Rs 653.60 per 10 kg in futures trade today as participants engaged in reducing their positions amid muted demand in the spot market.
Besides, adequate stocks position on higher supplies from producing regions put pressure on refined soya oil prices.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in May month declined by Rs 1.55, or 0.24 per cent to Rs 653.60 per 10 kg with an open interest of 64,670 lots.

On similar lines, the oil for delivery in far-month June contracts edged lower by 80 paise, or 0.12 per cent to Rs 662 per 10 kg in 87,900 lots.
Analysts said offloading of positions by traders due to easing demand in the spot market against adequate stocks position mainly kept refined soya oil prices lower at futures trade.
