The regulator had asked KSEB to enforce the measure for 30 minutes in the morning (between 6 am to 9 am) and another half-an-hour in peakload hours between 6.30 pm and 10.30 pm.
According to a KSERC release, the current spell of loadshedding would continue till November 30, after which the situation would be reviewed.
The proposal of Kerala State Electricity Board for imposing power cut for High Tension consumers would be considered by KSERC next month, it said.
The state Cabinet had yesterday cleared the proposal submitted by the KSEB in this regard.
Kerala has been passing through a grim power crisis with storage position in hydel reservoirs depleting for want of sufficient rainfall in catchment areas during the south west monsoon this year.
The state's power consumption stood at 49 to 52 million units, whereas the production was only around 22 million units.
