Revenue officer held for taking Rs 20,000 bribe

A Village Revenue Officer was arrested today for allegedly accepting Rs 20,000 in bribe from a farmer for extending official favour, ACB said.

"Mohammed Ghouse Pasha, VRO of Rangapur village in Peddapalli mandal, was caught while he was accepting Rs 20,000 from the complainant," the agency stated in a release.

He had allegedly sought bribe to facilitate mutation for the farmer's land.
