The owner of an edible oil unit was looted of Rs 3.5 lakh here, police said today.
The incident took place last night when the miscreant forcibly entered the Krishna Edible and Oil Mill by threatening the security guard at gun-point and reached upto a room where the owners were counting the cash collected from daily sale, Civil Lines police station in-charge Amit Bhadoria said.
The accused fired at the glass door, injuring mill supervisor Manoj Dandotia, and entered the room.
Sensing trouble, the mill owner's son handed over Rs 3.5 lakh to the person who later fled from there.
Morena Superintendent of Police Irshad Wali reached the spot soon after getting information about the incident and launched a hunt to nab the culprit.
