Press Trust of India New Delhi
Capital markets regulator Sebi has disposed of cases against four firms in matters related to failure to resolve investor grievances as well as not getting registered with its online complaint redressal system.

The companies are Haryana Suraj Maltings, Enchante Jewellery, Kwality Ltd and JMP Castings.

In separate orders, the regulator has closed cases against Enchante Jewellery and Kwality Ltd after finding them in compliance with the norms.

According to Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi), the allegations of not obtaining SCORES authentication against Haryana Suraj Maltings and JMP Castings are not tenable.

Satisfied with the submissions made by the companies regarding investor complaint and registration, Sebi said the companies are "not liable for any monetary penalty".

Launched by Sebi in June 2011, SCORES provides a centralised database of all complaints. Online movement of complaints to the listed companies concerned and upload of their Action Taken Reports are done through this system.

It also helps investors view, track and follow up the action taken on their grievances. The online redressal system has significantly helped in reducing the processing time of complaints.
