Four persons were killed when their car plunged into a canal due to dense fog in Auraiya district, police said today.
The incident took place last night when a sedan car fell in Chairee canal culvert turn under Bela police station, police said.
The deceased have been identified as Prashant (27), Priyank (23), Shivendra Kumar (25) and Rohit (23), police said, adding that hunt was on for a four-year-old girl who was missing after the accident.
While two other passengers escaped unhurt, police added.
