Selected foodgrain prices move up

The prices of urad dal, sugar and maida decreased while that of gram dal increased at the wholesale foodgrain market here today.

Prices of all other commodities ruled stady.

Gram dal went up by Rs.200 per quintal to Rs.5,200 form its previous rate of Rs.5,000.

Urad dal and sugar went down by Rs.200 and Rs.30 per quintal to Rs.8,800 and Rs.2,750 from its previous rate of Rs.9,000 and Rs.2,780.

Maida (90 kg) declined by Rs.100 to Rs.2400 from its previous rate of Rs.2,500.

Following are the wholesale rates of various agri commodities (in Rs per quintal, except where stated otherwise): Thoor Dal Rs 9,800, Urad Dal Rs 8,800, Moong Dal Rs 10,000, Gram Dal Rs 5,200, Sugar Rs 2,750, Wheat Rs 3.000, Maida (90 kg) Rs 2,400 and Sooji (90 kg) Rs 3,000.
