Foodgrain prices trade steady in market

Prices of all commodities ruled steady in the wholesale foodgrains market here during the week under review.

Opening the week at Rs 8,000, urad dal was up by Rs 200 per quintal from its closing rate of Rs 7,800 and ended at the same rate today.

Prices of gram dal increased by Rs 3,950 on Monday from its previous rate of Rs 3,900 and settled at the same rate today.

In contrast, thoor dal declined by Rs 100 per quintal on Monday to Rs 8,200 from its previous week's rate of Rs 8,300 to finish at Rs 8,200.

Likewise, moong dal was down by Rs 500 on Monday to Rs 9,500 per quintal from its previous rate of Rs 10,000 and ended at the same rate today.
 

Sugar decreased by Rs 50 per quintal from its last week's rate of Rs 3,250 and traded at the same rate till today.

Wheat (Rs 2,700), Maida 90 kg (Rs 2,500) and Sooji 90 kg (Rs 2,800) ruled steady throughout the week.
