Siksa Mitra shot dead

A 35-year-old siksha mitra was

shot dead allegedly over an illicit relationship in Asmoli area, a police said today.

The victim, Kamil was shot at by Anup Singh and his aides in Gangadaspur village last evening and he later died during treatment, Additional Superintendent of Police V K Mishra said.

He said prima facie it seemed that the incident was a fallout of an illicit relationship.

A case has been lodged and the matter is being investigated, police said, adding, the accused is still absconding.
