Deer shot dead

Poachers shot dead a deer in

canal area at Mohangarh in Rajasthan's Jaisalmer district, police said today.

People took the bleeding Buck to a veterinary hospital at Mohangarh but it succumbed to injuries there, they said.

The incident happened yesterday, police said adding the poachers fled from the scene.

The Forest Department had sent the carcass for post mortem.
