Participants cut down their bets amid a weak global trend

Silver futures down by 0.3% on global cues

Press Trust of India New Delhi
Falling for the second straight day, silver prices eased further by 0.35% to Rs 37,075 per kg in futures market today as participants cut down their bets amid a weak global trend.

At Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in March traded lower by Rs 132, or 0.35%, to Rs 37,075 per kg, in a business turnover of 37,207 lots.

Likewise, the white metal for delivery in May declined by Rs 94, or 0.25%, to Rs 37,469 per kg in 85 lots.

Market analysts said offloading of positions by traders in line with a weak global trend mainly kept silver prices lower at futures trade.

Meanwhile, silver traded 0.69% lower at Rs 15.10 an ounce in New York in yesterday's trade.
