Six persons were killed and as many injured after lightning struck them in Bihar's Bhagalpur district, police officials said today.
Four persons were killed and three others injured after lightning struck them last evening in different villages, Pirpaiti police station
in-charge Surendra Singh said.
The victims have been identified as Basant Mandal (18), Budhni Devi (48), Gautam Kumar (25) and Gujia Devi (70), he said, adding that the bodies were handed over to the family for last rites after post-mortem, while the injured persons were admitted to a hospital for treatment.
Two youths identified as Kishore Mandal (20) and Golu Kumar (15) were fatally struck by lightning yesterday in Srirampur Diara while three others sustained injuries, Akbar Nagar police station in-charge Varun Kumar said.
