Teenager killed in road mishap, locals damage vehicles

A teenager was killed after he was hit by a vehicle in Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri district triggering violent protests by locals, police said today.

The incident took place last evening in Rajouri when a vehicle hit a two-wheeler leading to the death of the pillion rider identified as Danish Rizwan, a Class XI student, a police officer said.

The locals gathered on the spot and damaged two vehicles including a police vehicle protesting the incident, the officer said, adding tension broke out in the area following the violence.
