Three commit suicide in separate incidents in UP

Three persons, including a minor girl, allegedly committed suicide in three separate incidents here, police said today.

14-year-old Ayushi, a Class X student, allegedly committed suicide by jumping before a speeding train, they said.

The body of the minor girl was found on a railway track at Shamli yesterday, police said, adding that the motive behind the suicide is not known, police said.

In another incident, a 40-year-old man committed suicide by jumping into the Ganga canal at Behdathru village in the district, police said.

The body of the victim, identified as Gyanender, was recovered from the canal yesterday. However, the reason behind the step is unknown, they added.
 

In the third incident, 20-year-old Om Singh, a student of Class XII, allegedly committed suicide by jumping before a speeding train near Khandarwali Railway station in Shamli yesterday.

A failed love affair is suspected to be behind the extreme step, they said.
