Three students feared drowned in Bhatinda waterfall

Three students of Jharia coalfield were feared drowned while bathing in Bhatinda waterfall, around 20 km away from the district headquarters in Jharkhand today.

The incident took place when a group of five students, who had just passed class 12, had gone for a bath in the waterfall in which three of them were feared drowned .

A rescue team was pressed into service for fishing out the missing students, but no one was found till 6 pm.

The students who were missing were Rajiv Ranjan (17), Roshan Prasad (17) and Rohit Agrawal.

According to Vijay Rajak, a police officer of Putki police station, the five students had gone there on two bikes for taking a bath at around 3 pm.
 

Three of them drowned while trying to save each other, he said.
