Land bank in Jharkhand will be operational from July: Das

Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghuvar Das today said the proposed land bank in Jharkhand will be operational from July in the state.

All formalities in this regard was near completion and it (land bank) would be announced in the first week of July, Das said while inaugurating the 11 kms long 4-lane Western Corridor constructed by Tata Steel here.

Appreciating the private steel major for the Western Corridor, the chief minister asked Tata steel managing director (India and South East Asia), T V Narendran to invest more in the state while assuring to provide all assistance.

He also urged the steel giant to set up a branch of Tata Institute of Social Science in Ranchi in the interest of the state.
 

Speaking on the occasion, Das said, "Jamshedpur City, with a legacy of more than 100 years, has become a brand in itself.The Western corridor is a giant leap towards industrial and infrastructural development of the state of Jharkhand, he said while appreciating Tata Steel, guided by the vision of its founder J N Tata has always believed and worked towards the development of community and prosperity of the state.

"I would like to congratulate the Tata Steel family for the successful completion of Western Corridor project," he said.
