Thacker and Agrawal are among the eleven people who became members, replacing the deceased members of the club by allegedly forging the CCI documents in connivance with a club member and an IT officer.

According to police, CCI member Sandeep Jain and club's IT officer Khalid Abdul Kazi had helped in a wrong route them to become member in the club, which had stopped enrolling new members since nine years.

The CCI's internal inquiry had revealed the fraudulent practices in the club some time back, following which it complained to the police and the EOW began investigation.
