Two bizmen held with opium
The Cyberabad Police here today arrested two businessmen from Rajasthan and seized 1.4 kg opium from them.
"Based on a specific information, a police team raided a house in Miyapur area and seized 1.4 kg opium, 45 grams of opium raw material and cash worth Rs 26.5 lakh," said DCP (Madhapur Zone) Vishwa Prasad.
The accused duo, identified as Mangilal Chowdary (30) and Kishan Lal Chowdary, had brought the opium from Pali district of Rajasthan, he said, adding that various teams have been formed to locate the source of the substance.
A case has been registered under relevant sections of the Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, the DCP added.
