A man and a woman committed suicide in two separate incidents at Trans Hindon area in Sahibabad, police said today.
According to SHO Avdesh Pratap, Kishan (20), a resident of Prakash Nagar Khoda, was living with his parents. As he did not wake up this morning, his parents peeped into his room through a window and saw his body hanging from the ceiling fan.
On being alerted, the police arrived at the spot, retrieved the body and send it for post-mortem, said the SHO, adding that no suicide note has been recovered.
In another incident, Azra (20), a resident of House Number 95, Vikram Enclave, hanged herself at her house, said the SHO, adding that no suicide note was recovered in this case as well.
Preliminary inquiries revealed that she was suffering from depression.
The body has been sent for post-mortem, said the officer.
