Two shot while carrying cash to Allahabad Bank

One person and the driver of a van that was carrying cash to an Allahabad Bank branch were shot by motorcycle-borne unidentified miscreants in Uttar Pradesh's Amethi district on Monday, police said

The incident happened near Babuganj when the vehicle was going to the Gyanipur branch of the bank in Sultanpur district, Station House Officer Dipendra Singh said.

The injured were rushed to a hospital and the driver has been referred to a trauma centre in a serious condition, the SHO said, adding that the cash was found safe.
