Union home ministry official meets Governor

With the fate of panchayat poll in West Bengal hanging in balance, the OSD to Union home ministry, Anil Goswami, today met Governor M K Narayanan.

Neither Goswami nor Narayanan were unavailable for comment.

However, according to sources, during their 40-minute interaction the two discussed the demand of central forces for the polls by the State Election Commission and Opposition parties.
