UP: Two drown in Ganga

Two men drowned in Ganga and another is missing and feared dead after they were washed away by the strong current of water, police said today.

Abhishek, Shantanu and Mayank, all hailing from Lucknow and aged between 20 to 23 years, rowed their boat down the river and jumped off it into the water last evening. However, they were washed away by the strong current of water, police said.

On hearing their cries for help, locals informed divers, who after searching till late in the night recovered the bodies of Abhishek and Shantanu while Mayank is missing and feared dead, they said.
 

Family members of the youths have been informed and a probe is on into the matter.
