Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje today congratulated ex-Rajya Sabha MP V P Singh Badnore for being appointed as new Governor of Punjab.
"Heartiest congratulations to Sh V P Singh Badnore ji for being appointed as the Governor of Punjab. Best wishes for the journey ahead," Raje tweeted.
Singh, 68, hails from Rajasthan and is a four-time MLA, two-time Lok Sabha MP and one-time Rajya Sabha MP.
He was the Irrigation Minister in Bhairon Singh Shekhawat government.
Singh has also held positions in various committees, including chairman of Special Tiger Force to rehabilitate tigers in Sariska from 2005-09.
