Govt working on eradicating economic & social disparity:Gehlot

The government is working on eradicating economic and social disparity in society while special focus is being given on upliftment of the people from backward classes, Union Social Justice Minister Thaawarchand Gehlot today said.

The minister today also offered prizes to the winners of 'Babu Jagjivan Ram All India Essay Competition 2015' alongwith Minister of State for Social Justice Ramdas Athawale.

"The Narendra Modi-led government is committed for upliftment of all the weaker sections and backward classes in the society. We are not only focusing on the economic upliftment but also want to end social disparity in the society," Gehlot said.
 

Speaking at the event, Athawale appreciated the Babu Jagjivan Ram's contribution to the country and said the essay competition was organised to propagate the achievements, ideology and philosophy of life and mission of Babu Jagjivan Ram.

"This government is working for all around development of weaker and backward sections in the country," Athawale said.
