Wheat up on increased offtake by flour mills

In restricted activity, wheat prices traded marginally higher by Rs 5 per quintal at the wholesale market today on increased offtake by flour mills.

However, other grains continued to trade in a tight range on restricted buying and settled around previous levels.

Traders said increased offtake by flour mills led to the rise in wheat prices.

In the national capital, wheat dara (for mills) rose by Rs 5 to Rs 1,620-1,625 per quintal. Atta chakki delivery followed suit and traded higher by the same margin to Rs 1,625-1,630 per 90 kg.

Wheat MP (deshi) 2,245-2,445, Wheat dara (for mills) 1,620-1,625, Chakki atta (delivery) 1,625-1,630, Atta Rajdhani (10 kg) 220, Shakti bhog (10 kg) 220, Roller flour mill 850- 875 (50 kg), Maida 915-925 (50 kg) and Sooji 1,030-1,050 (50 kg).
 

Basmati rice (Lal Quila) 10,400, Shri Lal Mahal 10,000, Super Basmati Rice 9,500, Basmati common new 8,200-8,700, Rice Pusa- (1121) new 6,800-8,600, Permal raw 2,100-2,150, Permal wand 2,250-2,300, Sela 2,750-2,800 and Rice IR-8 1,925-1,975,Bajra 1,215-1,220, Jowar yellow 1,400-1,420, white 2,325-2,525, Maize 1,220-1,225, Barley 1,630-1,635.
