A 25-year-old woman and her two minor children drowned after their boat capsized in the backwaters of the Mahi river in Banswara district in Rajasthan today.
The boat was ferrying eight persons who were going to attend a religious programme on the occasion of Maha Shivratri when the incident took place, SHO Ambapura police station Shivnath said.
While the body of the woman, Aanchal, was fished out in the afternoon, the bodies two children - her daughter Rakshu and a boy-- both aged around three, were pulled out in the evening, he said.
Five other passengers on the boat were rescued by the locals.
