A 23-year-old married woman was found dead under mysterious circumstances at her in-law's house in southeast Delhi's Sangam Vihar area, police said today.
While the deceased's husband and his family claimed that she committed suicide by hanging herself with a dupatta, victim's family accused her in-laws of killing her.
The incident came to light when the woman, identified as Neha Pandey was rushed to a private hospital in the area by her in-laws where doctors declared her brought dead. The hospital authorities then informed police who took the body in custody and sent it for post mortem.

"Victim's father has told us that her daughter's in-laws have been demanding a car from them and they had also been mistreating her since she gave birth to a girl two years ago," a police officer said.
"We are questioning Pandey's husband and her in laws about the case," the officer said, adding that an inquiry under section 174 CrPC has been initiated.
There were strangulation marks on the victim's neck and her father claimed that she was strangled by her in laws.
Police is waiting for the post mortem report which would reveal the exact cause of her death.
The victim's husband, Arunesh works as a computer engineer with a private company.
