13.75% Gilt Traded For Rs 20 Crore

The wholesale debt segment (WDM) at the National Stock Exchange (NSE) witnessed yet another dull trading day, clocking a traded volume of Rs 168.74 crore. Of this, the treasury bills segment contributed to a volume of Rs 42 crore. A repo deal, worth Rs 15 crore, was concluded for a term of four days at the rate of 9.25 per cent.

The corporate debentures segment saw active trading interest, reporting 709 trades and a volume of Rs 2.16 crore. There was no trading interest, and the price of securities remained steady, said a broker.

The certificate of deposit of ICICI was traded for Rs one crore at the yield of 15 per cent, and priced at Rs 96.89.

 

The tax free bonds of Power Finance Corporation was traded for Rs two crore at the yield of 11 per cent and at the rate of Rs 99.25.

The zero per cent government loan, maturing in 1999, was traded for Rs 23 crore at the weighted average yield of 11.21 per cent. The 13.75 per cent gilt, maturing in 2001, was traded for Rs 20 crore at the weighted average yield of 11.83 per cent.

The 14-day treasury bills, maturing on March 21, was traded for Rs 19 crore at the weighted average yield of 9.28 per cent.
