India's first infotech minister Pramod Mahajan has his work cut out. Besides clearing tangles regarding allocation of work to his ministry, he will have to address major issues like implementing the recommendations of the second and third information technology (IT) task force and push through the Cyber Laws and IT Bill in Parliament.
Talking to Business Standard yesterday, P V Jayakrishnan,
secretary, ministry of information technology, said that the
ministry would officially launch the Rs 100-crore venture capital fund for the software industry soon.
