Calibre Communications, a division of Blockdale, will organise a conference on industrial mixing technology in October 2016 in Mumbai. Optimising the processes and unit operations is one the important strategies adopted by chemical manufacturers to remain globally competitive in a challenge environment. In this respect, industrial mixing is a very crucial operation and optimising mixing provides many benefits.
Significant advances have taken place in mixing, leading to better efficiencies, lesser energy consumption, reduction in batch times, higher conversion rates, and enhanced quality and yields. The conference is meant to sensitise participants to all aspects of the state-of-the-art developments in mixing and help understand the potential of process efficiencies from the advances in mixing technology.
The one day conference on industrial mixing will be held on October 5, 2016 followed by the two day workshop on October 6-7, 2016 in Mumbai. Dr Ramesh Hemrajani, a recognised international expert on mixing with over 39 years of experience in this field (most of it as an engineering associate at Exxon Mobil Research & Engineering Co, USA) will be the key speaker. Dr Hemrajani, who is currently an independent consultant based in the US, holds 13 patents in mixing systems & processes and is the recipient of the 2007 award for ‘Excellence & sustained contributions to mixing research & practice’ by the North American Mixing Forum. Besides Dr Hemrajani, there are seven other expert presenters at the conference from academia, industry & R&D.
