Elecon Engineering Company Ltd, a manufacturer of material handling equipment, industrial gear systems and mining equipment, has received Rs 225 crore contract from the Kolkata-based Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers Limited for supply of marine gearboxes. "The company has been awarded a prestigious order from Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers Limited for supply of marine gearboxes aggregating worth of Rs 225 crores," said Elecon Engineering in a press release.
This is the second order for marine gearboxes bagged by the company in the recent times. On February 29, 2016, Elecon received Rs 300 crore order from Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Ltd.
