The range comprises of two models with 7 stage purification and 6 stage purification with built-in humidifier. Both these models are equipped with activated carbon filter, HEPA filter and UV sterilisation for ensuring cleaner air.
According to research, India is home to ten out of twenty worst air quality cities in the world. Against this backdrop, the Indian air purifiers market, presently estimated at Rs 120 crores, is expected to witness robust growth at around 30-35 percent per annum for the next 3-4 years.
"Living in a large city means that you and your family are being constantly exposed to airborne contaminants on a daily basis. The air purifier market in India is at a nascent stage and we believe this category will be critical in providing cleaner air indoors. We plan to target 5 to 10 percent of the market by making the product more affordable and accessible to the larger consumer market," said Amritanshu Khaitan, managing director, Eveready Industries.
