KEC International bags orders of Rs 1002 crore
The company has secured these orders in transmission & distribution (Rs 613 cr), railways (Rs 288 cr) and cables (Rs 101 cr) businesses

KEC’s transmission & distribution division has bagged orders worth Rs 613 crores in India, Africa, Middle East and America - with overseas business accounting for Rs 115 crore. In India, the division has secured four orders of Rs 372 crore from Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd (PGCIL) for construction of transmission lines in the Northern, Southern, Eastern (Indo- Bangladesh) and Central Regions and a turnkey order of Rs 86 crore for construction of transmission lines and substation in Southern India from Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited.
In railways business, KEC has secured a composite order of Rs 288 crore for electrification, civil works, track laying, signalling and telecommunication works in Madhya Pradesh from Rail Vikas Nigam Limited. Similarly, its cables division has bagged orders of Rs 101 crore for the supply of power and telecom cables.
Vimal Kejriwal, MD & CEO, KEC International Ltd, commented, “With these orders we have further strengthened our domestic order book. Especially, we have secured good orders from PGCIL, thus marking a substantial improvement in our share in PGCIL orders. In Railways, we have secured an order of Rs 288 crore which is the single largest order ever secured in this business, restating our belief of securing large value orders going ahead.”
