Man Industries starts HSAW pipes production at Pithampur plant

Man Industries has commenced the first phase of commercial production at its Pithampur plant in Madhya Pradesh, said the company in a BSE filing on December 10, 2015. The company has recently upgraded the helically submerged arc welded (HSAW) pipe manufacturing facility at Pithampur to manufacture 135 inch diameter pipes to cater to water transport segment.
 
Man Industries recently bagged an order of about Rs 250 crores for supply of these pipes in MP. “The full impact of Pithampur plant’s contribution will start reflecting from the fourth quarter of the current financial year,” added the company.
 
In addition to demand from conventional segments such as oil transportation, water supply, sewerage, agriculture and construction, there is growing acceptance of HSAW pipes for high pressure applications (in onshore installations).
