The Supreme Court told Ashoka University professor Ali Khan Mahmudabad --accused of posting controversial content online about Operation Sindoor -- that while his right to free speech and expression remains intact, he is prohibited from posting anything online related to the ongoing cases against him. A bench comprising Justices Surya Kant and Dipankar Datta declined to alter the interim bail condition set on May 21, which bars him from publishing online posts, articles, or making oral statements concerning the two posts currently under investigation. The central government is expected to introduce an impeachment motion against former Delhi High Court judge Justice Yashwant Varma in the upcoming monsoon session of Parliament. This move follows an in-house inquiry led by Chief Justice of India Sanjiv Khanna, which found unexplained cash at Justice Varma’s residence during his time on the bench. The findings were submitted to the President and Prime Minister on May 9, with a recommendation to pursue impeachment proceedings.

In a social media post on Tuesday, Trump wrote, “I told Canada, which very much wants to be part of our fabulous Golden Dome System, that it will cost $61 Billion Dollars if they remain a separate, but unequal, Nation, but will cost ZERO DOLLARS if they become our cherished 51st State.
