The sweetness and aroma of the dussehri mango has transcended boundaries and found a fan following among foreign diplomats.Ambassadors and High Commissioners of about a dozen countries are arriving in the nondescript town of Malihabad, about 30 km from Lucknow, for a 'mango party' on June 29.The programme 'Ek Shaam Malihabadi Dussehri Ke Naam' (An evening dedicated to Malihabad's Dussehri) is being hosted by the Mango Grower Association of India.The event is aimed at popularising dussehri and seeking government support for the mango growers and exporters.The diplomats would be presented with dussehri saplings and urged to promote their cultivation in their countries. Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar today conceded that the state had to go for additional borrowings last fiscal due to closure of mining industry which hit the revenues."Last year we did go for additional borrowings from the market to the tune of Rs 250-300 crore. But that is due to stoppage of mining activity (on Supreme Court order) and also the liabilities created by the previous government," said Parrikar, who took over the reigns of the state in March 2012.He said the previous Congress-led government had received Rs 82 crore from the Centre for creation of infrastructure for hosting Lucifonia Games -- the Portuguese commonwealth games to be held in Goa this year."But the money was not used for the purpose. We don't know where the money went. The (then) government must have syphoned it off," he said. He had to take care of this liability of Rs 82 crore and further borrow Rs 15 crore, he said.

What is required is the change in approach and not the changes in existing laws," said Shah during his address at the National Legal Summit 2013, organised by Federation of Gujarat Industries here on Saturday."Maximum usage of lok adalats and resolution of cases through arbitration and mediation will reduce the burden of courts to a great extent," said Shah adding that all the 1800 judges in Maharashtra will be trained for mediation.
