A total of 1,000 companies are expected to float initial public offerings (IPOs) in the next two financial years, the Association of Investment Bankers of India (AIBI) said on Friday.

The key domestic equity indices ended with modest losses on Friday, snapping a three-day winning streak. The Nifty index closed below the 23,210 mark, weighed down by weakness in the IT and banking shares.
