AFSPA should be left to judgment of security agencies: Jitendra Singh on Congress' manifesto

Kathua (Jammu and Kashmir), Apr 02 (ANI): Minister of State (MoS) for Prime Minister's Office Jitendra Singh on Tuesday reacted on Congress party for their promise to amend Armed Forces Special Powers (AFSPA) Act in their manifesto. He said, "Decisions of this nature should be left to the wisdom and judgment of the security agencies.

Any political functionary however it may be placed doesn't enjoy the right to be judgmental about these laws." Congress party on Tuesday, promised to amend AFSPA Act that grants special powers to the Indian armed forces in 'insurgency -hit areas', if they came to power.
