Located close to Chandi temple and Kali temple, the project has been completed at a cost of Rs.69.18 crore and is a part of 36 other projects in Uttarakhand which have been completed. The components of Chandi Ghat development included River protection works, intake well, chlorinator, Overhead tank and water supply network, visitor information centre and parking area at cremation ghat. Strategic development plan in context with the city level mobility network, showing important access points has also been developed. Burmans' Religare Enterprises' open offer to acquire an additional 26 per cent stake from the open market would commence on January 27 following the regulatory approvals.
Last month, the Reserve Bank approved the open offer of the Burman family -- the promoters of FMCG major Dabur -- to acquire an additional 26 per cent stake in NBFC firm Religare Enterprises Ltd (REL).
The open offer is for the acquisition of up to 9,00,42,541 fully paid-up equity shares of face value of Rs 10 each, representing 26 per cent of the expanded voting share capital of REL from the public shareholders by M.B. Finmart Private Ltd, Puran Associates Private Ltd, VIC Enterprises Private Ltd and Milky Investment & Trading Company, a regulatory filing said.
According to the tentative schedule of the open offer, the offer closes on February 7.
As of September 30, 2024, Burmans, through its four entities, collectively owns a 25.12 per cent stake in REL.

Domestic IT server maker Netweb Technologies posted a 16.56 per cent growth in profit to Rs 30.32 crore in the third quarter ended December 31, 2024, driven by demand for artificial intelligence-related projects, the company said in a regulatory filing on Saturday.
Netweb Technologies had posted a profit of Rs 26 crore in the same period a year ago.
The revenue from operations of Netweb increased by about 32 per cent to Rs 334 crore during the reported quarter from Rs 253.4 crore in the December quarter of the last fiscal.
"We are delighted to report that we recorded our highest quarterly Income and PAT. In line with our growth strategy, export revenue contribution stood at 9.0% in Q3 FY25, reflecting our efforts to expand the international market presence and capitalize on global opportunities," Netweb Technologies chairman and managing director, Sanjay Lodha said in a statement.

ISRO chairman V Narayanan on Saturday said the space-docking experiment (SpaDeX) of satellites was successful and the results will be useful for multiple purposes, including future missions like Chandrayaan 4, Gaganyaan and India's space station.
Narayanan, who arrived in Kerala after the successful space-docking test, told reporters at the airport here that it was a team effort by the ISRO and the results of the test were being reviewed.
"Right now the situation is that all the things are successfully docked and it is in space safely. Now we are studying all the results. My team is reviewing the results and we will take the proper decision at the proper time," he said.
The scientist further said that the docking experiment would be useful for multiple purposes.
Giving details, he said that it will be useful for the Chandrayaan 4 mission as two rockets will be used to carry to space the over 9,000 kg module that will subsequently land on the moon for sample collection.

The decision was disclosed Thursday as part of a test version for the next software release, iOS 18.3. The beta version is only available to a relatively small group of iPhone users and developers, but the same features are usually released in an update available to all users several weeks after the testing begins.
In the beta update, Apple said it is disabling the AI-generated feature for news and entertainment while it tries to fix the issue causing the technology to fabricate information  a problem often described as hallucinations within the industry. The Centre has proposed a meeting with the protesting farmers on February 14 in Chandigarh to discuss their demands, a senior official of the Union government said on Saturday.
