Delhi locals face scarcity of essential items amid coronavirus lockdown

New Delhi, Apr 01 (ANI): The nationwide lockdown in wake of coronavirus pandemic has disrupted the lives of the citizens as supply chain has taken a hit in several parts of the country. One of the residents outside a grocery store complained of scarcity of essential items. The locals outside the store however are following guidelines of lockdown in Delhi's Katwaria Sarai area as advised by the state and central government to combat with COVID-19 outbreak. Locals are also following rule of social distancing while buying grocery items amid coronavirus threat. According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the total number of COVID-19 active cases rose to 1238 in India with 35 deaths.
