New Delhi, Aug 17 (ANI): Union Minister Jitendra Singh attended an event in Delhi on August 16 where he said that the democracy will come in Jammu and Kashmir after abrogation of Article 370. Singh said, "We used to be taunted again and again and asked that why don't you follow the policy of Vajpayee ji? He was a good man. He used to speak of 'jamhuriyat', 'insaniyat', 'kashmiriyat'. Separatist leaders who sing praises of Pakistan used to taunt us." He further said, "I said in Srinagar and it needs to be said again that Vajpayee never approved of special status for Jammu and Kashmir. Democracy will come there now with Article 370 abrogation. 2-3 parties used to hold polls in a closed environment and become MP-MLA with 8-10% turnout. Was it democracy?"
