Himachal has ample capacity to produce hydroxychloroquine: State's Drug Controller

Baddi (Himachal Pradesh), Apr 11 (ANI): Himachal Pradesh Drug Controller Navneet Marwaha informed that there are 10-12 manufacturers who are producing hydroxychloroquine tablets in the state which has ample capacity to produce the drug. "There are 50 drug manufacturers in Himachal Pradesh who hold product licence to manufacture hydroxychloroquine tablets. Most of the manufacturers are of small or medium scale, some have state-of -the-art facility. There is ample capacity in the state to produce this drug. Presently, there are 10-12 manufacturers who are producing it. But, all those who have product license can start their production depending upon order and demand," said Marwaha after the demand of hydroxychloroquine tablets 'life saving' drug surged amid COVID-19.
