Lalu Yadav sentenced to 7 years of jail in 4th Fodder Scam

Ranchi (Jharkhand), Mar 24 (ANI): Former Bihar Chief Minister and RJD Supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav was sentenced to seven years in jail on Saturday in connection to the fourth fodder scam, by a special CBI court in Ranchi. A lawyer told ANI that the former Chief Minister has been imposed a fine of Rs 60 Lakhs, while other officials involved in the case have been awarded 3.5 years of imprisonment and a fine of Rs 15 Lakhs.

This was the fourth case of the fodder scam against the RJD Chief. The case is related to fraudulent withdrawal of about Rs 3.5 Crores from Dumka treasury during Lalu's tenure as Bihar Chief Minister.
