The coronavirus pandemic is far from over. The head of the World Health Organization said the emergence of new Covid-19 variants has raised questions about whether existing vaccines will work or not, raising concerns that the vaccines developed so far may be less effective against the variant first detected in South Africa. Despite pandemic fears, we have witnessed how people have ignored safety concerns and gathered in large numbers to demonstrate, compete and protest across the world, in the recent past.
