LIC Mutual Fund on Friday launched its Multi Asset Allocation Fund, an open-ended scheme that invests in equity, debt, and gold to achieve long-term capital appreciation.
The New Fund Offer (NFO) opened on January 24 and will conclude on February 7. The scheme will reopen for continuous sale and repurchase on February 18, the company said in a statement.
The scheme's benchmark is a combination of 65 per cent Nifty 500 TRI, 25 per cent Nifty Composite Debt Index, and 10 per cent domestic gold prices, it added.
"Hybrid mutual funds saw a 27 per cent surge in assets under management in 2024, increasing from Rs 6.90 lakh crore in January to Rs 8.77 lakh crore in December according to data published by Association of Mutual Funds in India (AMFI).

Edible oil firm Adani Wilmar Ltd has commenced operation of its food processing plant at Sonepat, Haryana, which it has established with an investment of nearly Rs 1,300 crore.
In a regulatory filing on Thursday, Adani Wilmar said the company has commenced operations at its integrated food processing plant in Gohana, District Sonepat.
"This food complex is one of the largest in the country built with a capital outlay of Rs 1,298 crore coming from IPO proceeds," the company said.
The plant will help generate 2,000 direct and indirect employment in Haryana.
The facility spread across 85 acres, has a total annual production capacity of 6.27 lakh tonnes. The plant will manufacture 4,50,000 tonnes of food products including rice, wheat flour, suji, rawa, and maida, along with 2 lakh tonnes of edible oils such as mustard oil, rice bran oil, and cottonseed oil, apart from Mustard DOC and Ricebran DOC for animal feed.

More than 1,400 candidates scored negative marks in the 70th Integrated Combined Competitive Examination (CCE) 2024 conducted by the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) recently, an official said.
The BPSC on Thursday had announced the results of the 70th Integrated Combined Competitive Examination 2024 over which massive protests were held in the state for weeks alleging irregularities.
BSPC Examination Controller Rajesh Kumar Singh told reporters here on Friday that, "Out of 3,28, 990 candidates who had appeared in the examination, 21,581 aspirants have cleared the CCE's preliminary test. While 1,409 candidates scored negative marks, only one candidate could score a maximum of 120 marks out of 150. There are a total of 1,181 candidates who scored more than 100 marks, 6,344 scored between 90 to 100 marks."
