Schools in J and K's Samba, Udhampur reopened, Section 144 is still imposed with some exceptions

Samba/ Udhampur (J and K), Aug 09 (ANI): Normal life resumed in Jammu and Kashmir's several districts on August 09, 2019. Schools have been reopened after five days in Samba and Udhampur districts. Section 144 is imposed in Valley since midnight of August 04, 2019. Section 144 prevents the gathering of more than four people in an area. Any pre-planned congregation or sudden unforeseen congregation of ritualistic nature shall be conducted with the prior approval of the District Magistrate. While speaking to ANI, Deputy Commissioner of Udhampur Dr Piyush Singla said, "Schools have been reopened in Udhampur today. Section 144 is still imposed, but with some exceptions in certain areas. Security plan is in place. Vulnerable areas are being monitored closely. Markets are also open from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm."
