Surat professor develops model which translates Hindi, English, Gujarati into Braille for visually impaired

Surat (Gujarat), Sep 16 (ANI): Nikisha Jariwala, a professor in Surat has made first of a kind model for the visually impaired, which will convert Hindi, English and Gujarati text into Braille language. Not only texts, model will also convert drawings, mathematical equations and text to speech as well. This invention has helped her bag Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Lifetime Achievement National Award. While speaking on this development Nikisha Jariwala, said, "My PHD topic was Design and Development of the model to transliterate digitalised multi lingual text into Braille and speech - An aid for visually impaired people with the help of this model, the visually impaired will be able to easily communicate with everyone and pursue normal education. Not only texts, the model will also convert drawings and mathematical equations, and text to speech as well."
