1,000 people take part in half marathon at Indo-Nepal border

Champawat (Uttarakhand), Aug 08 (ANI): In a bid to boost bilateral ties and friendly relations between the two countries, at least 1,000 Indian and Nepalese participated in a half marathon organised at the Indo-Nepal border on the International Friendship Day. The event was organised by the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) along with Nepal Army at the Banbasa border in Uttarakhand's Champawat district. Seven kilometers of the 21-kilometre long run was covered in Nepal while rest 14 kilometres in Indian geographical boundary.
