Birgunj labourers hold massive rally in support of Madhesis

Nepal, Jan 19 (ANI): Twenty thousand labourers in Birgunj converged at Raxual border to carry out a protest, to support the Madhesis who have been fighting for their rights since the new charter came into being in September 2015. Labourers raised slogans against the government of KP Sharma Oli and demanded equal representation in the constitution. Several rounds of talks between the Nepal government and the Madheshi leaders have not drawn any positive conclusions and the prolonged protests have resulted in an economic loss in the landlocked country.
