G20 leaders pose for group photo at summit in Antalya

Antalya, Nov 16 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi, US President Barack Obama and fellow world leaders gathered in the town of Belek, in Turkey's coastal province of Antalya for a G20 summit that has taken on new urgency after attacks in Paris pushed the fight against Islamic State militants to the top of the agenda. World leaders including Russian President Vladimir Putin, German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Chinese President Xi Jinping were among the heads of state standing at the centre of a group photo session, before the G20 leaders summit continued. The two-day summit brings the leaders just 500 km (310 miles) from Syria, where a 4-1/2-year conflict has transformed Islamic State into a global security threat and spawned Europe's largest migration flows since World War Two. The summit follows not only the Paris attacks but also comes two weeks after a suspected bomb attack on a Russian airliner killed 224 people in the Sinai Peninsula.
